Eoliennes en mer de Dunkerque (EMD), a subsidiary of EDF power solutions engaged MetOceanWorks to deliver detailed metocean design criteria for the Dunkirk Offshore Wind Farm, located in the southern North Sea off the coast of France. The site lies on a shallow mobile sand bank.
Using state-of-the-art high-resolution modelling techniques and the latest industry-standard methodologies, MetOceanWorks’ study provided a robust suite of design criteria to support the safe and efficient development of the wind farm.
“We were pleased to bring our expertise to bear in developing a robust and site-specific metocean dataset,” said Andrew Watson, Managing Director at MetOceanWorks.
Lucas Beaury, Project Manager at EDF power solutions, commented, “I would like to thank MetOceanWorks once again for the great work performed for the Dunkirk Offshore wind farm. They were efficient and proactive, while being open to discussions and very pleasant to work with”
